My name is Awet Mezghebe, and I passed my driving test today with the help of my instructor Yousouff. I felt I got my money’s worth and couldn’t have asked for a better instructor, his methods were easy to follow and effective on the roads and in my test. At first, I felt confident, however, coming to the day I felt nervous, but after my last lesson a couple of hours before the exam I was more confident. Pleased with my overall experience; definitely recommending Yousouff to friends and family.

Where is the best quietest place to start your lessons from?

The best place to start off is just off Lordship Lane, Risley Ave and Bennington Road, around Tower Gardens Road. Great place to get to change gears and get good at turning left and rights. Some of the roads are small so be careful when meeting other traffic.

What are the speed limits on the roads?

There are some 20 mph but most roads are 30 mph generally. The A10 Great Cambridge Road is 40 mph and the A406 North Circular Road has various speed limits from 30 mph to 50 mph in parts.

There are a few small roundabouts but the biggest and most difficult is the Great Cambridge roundabout. Fantastic place to get really good at big roundabouts.

Are there any dual carriageways?

What are the best times during the day to do your driving lessons?

Ikea has a big carpark and you can also use housing estates, they are a good place to get the practice in on bay parking.

Which are my nearest theory test centres?

Where is my local practical test centre?

Wood Green and Tottenham are the closest test centres, then it’s followed by Chingford, Enfield, Wanstead to the East of London.  Barnet and BorehamWood to the north.

Which is the easiest test centre to do your practical driving test in my area?

All test centres are the same. Driving instructors have their favourites so it’s best to ask them directly. So don’t worry which test centre you get. Best to keep your test at the local test centre where possible so you can get more practice in the area.
