Where is the best quietest place to start your lessons from?
A good area to get started on your driving lessons is around Somers Road, Mansfield Road leading onto to Palmerston Road. There are alot of one way roads in the area so watch out for the no entries.
What are the speed limits on the roads?
There are some 20 mph but most roads are 30 mph generally. There are no faster roads in the area. The closest faster roads are the A406 to the north. A10 and the A12.
Are there many big or small roundabouts in my area?
There are a few small roundabouts and one of the main big roundabouts is the Waterways Corner Roundabout where the Woodford New Road and the North Circular meet.
Are there any dual carriageways?
The A406 is the main dual carriageway with the A10 and A12 just down the road.
What are the best times during the day to do your driving lessons?
It’s good to drive at different times of the day to get a feel of driving in different types of traffic.
Are there any busy/difficult/unusual junctions?
Most of the main roads get busy and Waterworks Corner can be tough.
Are there any places to practice bay parking?
B&Q and Ikea are ideal places to practice, be careful as it can get quite busy.

Which is the easiest test centre to do your practical driving test in my area?
All test centres are the same. If you like Roundabouts like I do then Wanstead is the one for you. Driving instructors have their favorites so it’s best to ask them directly, but don’t worry which test centre you get.
